Sunny day at last

It seems like such a long time ago that we had a really hot day, so this morning when I looked out of my window and I realised it was going to be a nice day I was determined that we would make the most of it!


As soon as we got home from the school run we started the task of getting all of the outdoor toys out - this is no easy task and took us quite a while!  Then we took off our shoes and socks, smothered on the sun cream, put our hats on and we were ready to have lots of fun!  The water table and paddling pool proved to be quite a hit, as did the water squirters!  We had a lovely lunch sat under the parasol, it was nice to escape from the sun for a while!  Then it was back to more water fun, mixed with sand and soil - it got quite messy at times!

Later on a bug hunt provided a bit of excitement; we found snails, beetles, ants, wood lice and a dried up worm!
